3 STAR TO 4 STAR TO 5 STAR!

At present, the Raiders have England Basketball's 3 Star Accreditation. As a club, its our aim in the next year to go from 3 Star to 4 Star, and quickly on up to 5 Star. If we can do this, we will be the only club in the BBL to have Clubmark and 5 Star Accreditation. Of course, the most important reason for doing this is to help develop the Raiders as a whole, our players, our coaches and volunteers, and the relationships with our partners and sponsors.

Club Accreditation can be utilised to justify applications for funding (Awards for All, England Basketball's RAF Club Development fund) and to take to potential partners (local authorities, schools, and other organisations) to demonstrate the club’s current strengths and how, with more funding and / or additional partners, we would be able to provide enhanced opportunities within the sport.

There is significant work to do to move from 3 Star to 4 Star status, and the guidelines for application highlight specific criteria in terms of coaches, officials and registered players that must be in place if they are to continue to progress. There is therefore even more work to do to move from 4 Star to 5 Star, but the work and effort required is worth it, and we're committed to doing it this season. If we don't have challenging aims and targets we can't hope to progress as quickly as we need to.
