UNDER 10S AND UNDER 12S GET STARTED!

This Sunday sees the next step in our development programme expansion as we launch our Under 10 and Under 12 training squads. Both squads will train for an hour each week, being taught basketball fundamentals that will stand them in good stead for their progression through our development teams. We want to get away from a child's first experience being a national league game at Under 14 level. If we can spend time developing young players at an early age, they will have so many more skills and abilities to draw on when they enter national league competition.

The Under 12s will hopefully feed into a new Under 13 national league squad next year.

The two teams will form a good quality exit route for primary age children whothe Plymouth Raiders are working with through our Raidercoach Academy. However, places in the squads will not be limited exclusively to children involved in Raidercoach initiatives. They are open to anyone with enthusiasm and the desire to learn and play basketball.
