UNDER 18 GIRLS - TEAM INFORMATION

This time last year, the Raiders had no girls teams whatsoever. After the season had started, along with a couple of students from Marjons, we decided to start up some girls junior teams, at Under 16 and Under 18 levels, with the intention of entering them in national league competition in the 07/08 season. We had written a five year plan for development, and this was originally marked down for the second year, but demand for the teams was so great that we moved it forward.

The Under 18s will be entering the national league in September, and will be coached by Kira Ruiz. Kira plays for the Raiders Women's team, but will double up and help coach the girls this year. She will be assisted by Lyndsey Allen, who will also be coaching with the Under 16s and playing with the Raiders Women. Both girls have a lot of experience that the Under 18s can learn from, and we're looking forward to them helping us take the next step in girls basketball in Plymouth.

The team will play all its home games at the YMCA Kitto Centre.
